Information booklet

In order to promote integration of the newcomers to Magendie, we are glad to share the 'Useful information booklet' for Magendie employees ONLY (intranet access). Please feel free to get back to us for any additional content you would like to see included.

Decrease the language barrier

In line with our committee's theme of inclusion, and thanks to funding from the Institute, we were able to purchase a translator which is available to all staff.
Several languages can be programmed. It works perfectly for exchanges between 2 people, and used during multiple people meetings, provided you sit next to the person whose translation you want. It can be reserved on the Magendie intranet, in the same way as computer equipment.

Newcomers mentorship

We imagined to establish a “buddy system” to match newcomers with experienced workers in Magendie (people who have been working at Magendie for at least 3 years from different categories: PhD, post-docs, ITA, animal facility staff, administration, researchers, professors, team leaders). A mentor can provide the newcomer with information about the institute administration, council, representatives, introduce the various committees... Mentors will also accompany their mentee to the different events of the institute such as the first participation to the Magendie Hot-topic, Café de Jeudi, Neurosocials, Christmas lunch... This program will also help to interact between the teams and know each other a bit better.
How will this system work?
