At first glance, it might seem contradictory. And yet! Our bodies, with over 600 muscles and joints, are made to move. But our modern lifestyles—desk jobs, commuting, screen time—literally keep us glued to our chairs.

Working out for 3 hours on the weekend? That’s great, but far from enough if you spend the rest of the week taking fewer than 6,000 steps a day. Science is clear: it’s not about occasional intensity, but the consistency of movement.

We don’t brush our teeth seven times on Sunday to make up for a week of neglect. Well, it’s the same with physical activity: a little every day is what really makes the difference!

Sedentary behavior is now recognized as a major risk factor for many chronic diseases. On the other hand, moving a bit more each day improves physical and mental health—and even boosts focus.

Goal: at least 6,000 steps a day, and more if you’re up for it!

Here you’ll find some practical ideas to get moving more at work… and a short video to inspire you!
